Tom’s Fund raises over £6,000

In September Vicki and Ian Jones raised over £6,000 for Tom’s Fund through their 21,000 steps for 21 days fundraiser.

The intrepid couple walked 21,000 steps every day over 3 weeks, and were rewarded with a deluge of donations from friends and family. Although it was a tough challenge, especially the early mornings, they gained a lot from it and got much fitter.

Vicki said: ‘We wanted to do something to mark what would have been Tom’s 21st Birthday and decided that our 21k in 21 days would be such a fitting tribute’.

The fundholders are now deciding how the funding will be spent.
