More Than a Quiz: Why community matters this October
On Thursday 22 October, WCF will once again welcome businesses, supporters, trustees and friends to Henry Sandon Hall, Worcester for our annual Quiz & Curry Night.
At first glance, it’s exactly what it says on the tin; an evening of great food, friendly competition and plenty of laughs. However, behind every question answered or raffle ticket purchased is something much more important, the opportunity to invest in communities across Worcestershire.
Last year’s event was a fantastic success. Together, we raised £3,500, bringing Worcestershire people together for an evening that celebrated generosity, collaboration and community spirit. We were overwhelmed by the support shown by local businesses, volunteers, trustees, sponsors and everyone who gave their time, donated prizes or entered a team.
This year, we’re hoping to make an even bigger impact.
We believe strong communities are built by local people supporting local people. Every day, we work with donors, businesses and partners to direct funding where it can make the greatest difference. We help charities and community organisations respond to local needs, tackle inequality and create opportunities for people to thrive.
Behind every grant awarded is a story. People finding confidence through a community project, receiving support during difficult times, or services bringing people together and improving lives. Events like our Quiz & Curry Night are one of the many ways we can continue making that happen.
By joining us on 22 October, you’re doing much more than enjoying a great evening out. You’re helping WCF continue investing in charities and grassroots organisations that know their communities best, working to make Worcestershire an even better place to live.
Whether you’re entering a team with work colleagues, bringing family and friends together, entertaining clients or simply looking for a different kind of evening out, everyone is welcome. You’ll enjoy a fantastic interactive quiz hosted by the brilliant Quiz Knights, a delicious curry, an exciting charity raffle and the chance to meet others with a shared passion for Worcestershire.

The Quiz & Curry Night celebrates the achievements of people coming together with a shared purpose. It’s a reminder that community isn’t something that simply exists, it’s something we all help to create.
