Wyre Forest Nightstop
Wyre Forest Nightstop received a grant from the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund in support of disadvantaged young people in crisis, and/or facing family breakdown and homelessness.
Coralie Hudson, Corporate & Community Fundraiser told us:
“One young person became homeless after family breakdown and sofa-surfed for over 16 months. Despite mental health struggles and disrupted studies, they remained committed to education. Nightstop provided advocacy, emergency placements and helped them access housing services and Universal Credit. With continued support, they finally moved into stable accommodation and received essential provisions and community service referrals.”
One beneficiary also said:
“I was so relieved that you were able to give me somewhere safe to sleep. I was worried I would have to walk the streets all night which was a scary thought.”
