Severn Angels Housing and Support received a grant from the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund for their Remote Food Parcel Program.

One of those benefitting said:

“When the food parcels started arriving, it wasn’t just about the food … it felt like someone finally saw me. I didn’t have to explain or ask; everything I needed was just there. It gave me the strength to get through each week.”

Support Manager, Spiwe Mhondiwa reported:

A south Asian woman entered our supported accommodation. With weekly culturally appropriate food parcels and one-to-one support, she gradually regained stability. The food parcels, filled with familiar, nourishing items, helped ease her anxiety. She began cooking again, joined peer wellbeing groups, and slowly rebuilt her confidence.

“The food, the check-ins, the small things brought me back to life” she said.
