Headway Worcestershire Community Connections Project
Headway Worcestershire received a grant from the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund for their Community Connections project: Empowering and Supporting ABI Adults to Engage in their Community.
One of those benefitting said:
”These sessions didn’t just help me get out of the house – they helped me feel part of the world.”
Another client took her first big trip since her brain injury – an unforgettable day at the seaside. She was supported to enjoy the freedom of being away from home and family, sit with her feet in the sea, eat fish and chips, and share laughter with others. It was more than just a day out, it was a moment of joy, independence and connection that created a lasting memory.
Mandie Fitzgerald, CEO Headway Worcestershire reported:
“A heartfelt thank you from all of us, clients and team alike, at Headway Worcestershire. Your generous grant has enabled us to enhance opportunities and create unforgettable experiences for those we support. From seaside visits to community outings, these moments have brought joy, independence, and connection to people whose lives are often limited by their circumstances. Thank you for helping us make a real difference.”
