Breast Cancer Haven

The £2,500 from WCF provided 62.5 vital hours of support for Worcestershire women affected by breast cancer as they navigated the Covid-19 pandemic.

Individuals are able to access one to one tailored psychological support over Zoom or via the telephone to help ease anxiety and build emotional resilience through counselling sessions, meditation and nutritional advice. Their physical needs are being met by a daily programme of group activity classes including yoga, mindfulness, Pilates and tai chi. All of these services are easing distress as well as alleviating pressure on our front line health services. These services are specifically designed to support and nurture physical and psychological wellbeing, both in the immediate term; relieving debilitating symptoms and side effects and long after active medical treatment; supporting successful recovery and quality of life.
