Autism Specific Psychological Counselling

Behind every grant is a person whose life has changed.

ASPIE received a grant from our Strengthening Worcestershire Fund towards their autism specific psychological counselling service.

For many autistic and ADHD adults, everyday life can feel overwhelming. Having someone who understands, listens and provides the right support can make all the difference.

ASPIE reports that when one person came to them they were broken, having lost a well-paid position. Ongoing counselling enabled them to see the importance of learning to understand their neurological difference and enabled them, instead of existing, to develop and succeed. They had the determination to retrain and are now a valued member of a new team. ASPIE said the individual told them that without their specialised support they are not confident they would be here now.
