Strengthening Worcestershire Fund Round 2 Open
WCF’s new round of the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund is now open! Run, once again, in partnership with Worcestershire County Council, the application portal is now live.
From the first funding round in 2024, we distributed £187,000 to support 31 projects; the new programme focuses on similar areas of need. These include support for the cost of living, ageing well, tackling loneliness and social isolation, providing information and advice and supporting unpaid carers.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 26th August. Funding will be allocated in November for projects starting 1st December 2025.
Lucy Wells, director of Worcestershire Community Foundation, said:
“We are delighted to be working with the County Council once again to deliver further funding to organisations that tirelessly support our communities. We are hoping to fund many innovative and impactful project ideas from new groups that haven’t received funding from this programme before.”
Cllr Ian Cresswell, cabinet member for Environment and Community at Worcestershire County Council, added:
“Voluntary and community organisations play a vital role in delivering valued services to residents across Worcestershire. We are pleased to be able to confirm our commitment to these groups by continuing this funding initiative in partnership with the Community Foundation, following the notable success of last year’s programme.
“We encourage all eligible organisations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.”
