Michael was born in Belbroughton, Worcs. Educated at Eton, and studied languages at the universities of Vienna, Perugia and Aix-en Provence. Joined family company Brintons Ltd in 1962. Became a Director in 1970 and Chairman in 1991. 1998- 2001 Chairman CBI (Hereford and Worcester) 1990-1991 High Sheriff of Hereford and Worcester 1991-2001 Deputy Lieutenant of Hereford and Worcester 2001- Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire Michael is president of the Worcestershire Ambassadors.
